BIT is designed to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to effectively teach any NRA Course as a Certified Instructor

During BIT, instructor candidates will learn essential teaching methods and presentation techniques specific to the NRA curriculum. The following topics will discussed:

• Registration and use of the NRA Instructor Portal
• NRA policies and procedures
• Role and responsibilities of an NRA Certified Instructor
• Public speaking and training methodology
• Teaching principles and use of visual aids
• Lesson planning and evaluation techniques
• Using the NRA training materials and course outlines

Successful completion of BIT is required once every 2 years for instructors who wish to add additional NRA instructor ratings after initial completion.

This course must be completed before attending discipline-specific instructor training, such as Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun, or Personal Protection.

The deposit is due within 7 days of registration.
