My passion for firearms started early in life when my dad taught me how to shoot a BB gun, his 22 caliber rifles, and 12 gauge shotguns. Growing up, my father instilled in me the love of shooting and competing against yourself and others to continuously improve your marksmanship.  As a Boy Scout, I earned all the shooting sports merit badges.  Then in college, I began to branch out into handguns.  I went to school with guys who had semi-automatic pistols and revolvers.  Shooting handguns was quickly becoming a new extension of my experiences with rifles and shotguns.  Through all this, safety was ALWAYS stressed and expected.   Now that I’m older I really appreciate those that taught me safe firearm handling.

Fast forward 30 years, I now have a good collection of firearms that I enjoy shooting and sharing with family, friends and students. 

But I needed more……  

I’ve always enjoyed teaching and watching others learn and grow.  So it was a natural fit to merge my passion for firearms and my desire to teach and help others grow and learn.  Thus, JBFDTraining was born.  Whether you are new to shooting sports or a seasoned shooter looking to improve, I can work with you to get the training you desire and deserve.  I want to provide firearms training to the current and next generation of shooters in addition to helping those that want to play a role in their own personal defense.
